Carol Wilding, FCPA, FCA
President & Chief Executive Officer
Carol Wilding was appointed by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario's Council as the President and CEO in October 2014. In her role, Ms. Wilding leads the qualifying and regulatory body of Ontario’s more than 89,000 CPAs and 19,000 students. CPA Ontario serves the public interest by developing, monitoring and enforcing the highest standards of professional competence and ethical conduct.
The former head of the Toronto Region Board of Trade, Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation and Plan Canada respectively, Ms. Wilding was awarded the Public Affairs Association of Canada’s 2011 Award of Distinction and named to the Top 100™ list of Canada’s Most Powerful Women for 2010 for her leadership in the not-for-profit sector. Ms. Wilding was also named as one of the Top 25 Women of Influence™ in 2014. Ms. Wilding currently serves as a Director on the Boards of the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre Foundation and the Luminato Festival, and sits on the Dean's Council at the Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University.
Executive Vice-President & Chief Operating Officer
The Executive Vice-President & Chief Operating Officer leads the corporate functions of Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Enterprise Risk Management, Project Management and the Customer Service Centre. Keeping abreast of industry trends, the COO provides expertise, consultation, and strategic advice, and executes organizational transformation with a primary focus on technology implementation and related business process improvement.
Vice-President, General Counsel
Elizabeth Cowie leads the Office of the General Counsel, which provides internal legal support to ensure the organization meets its mandate to protect the public interest and its legal and regulatory requirements, including adjudicative committees, privacy, member meetings and corporate matters. Her career includes senior positions at the Law Society of Upper Canada, York Regional Police, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, and she is a former Assistant Crown Attorney.
Kelly Gorman CPA, CA
Vice-President, Regulatory & Standards
Kelly Gorman leads the Registrar, Practice Inspection, Member Advisory Services, Standards Enforcement, and Investigation and Prosecutions teams, a role that is crucial to CPA Ontario's protection of the public interest. Prior to joining CPA Ontario Kelly served as Deputy Director of Enforcement and the first Chief of the Office of the Whistleblower at the Ontario Securities Commission. Her extensive background as a policy advisor to those charged with governance will continue to ensure the integrity of the CPA profession in Ontario.
Richard Piticco CPA, CA
Vice-President, Student Services
Richard Piticco provides leadership to all student-related areas for CPA Ontario, from seeking out and developing the best candidates to supporting students through their journey to becoming Chartered Professional Accountants. He oversees partnerships with post-secondary institutions to advance the profession. Prior to joining CPA Ontario, Richard served as a Director and Equity Research Analyst, Consumer Products, CIBC World Markets, and Treasury Manager, Pepsi Canada.
Vice-President, Marketing & Communications
Nilpa Srivastava is responsible for the promotion of the CPA brand in Ontario, including advertising, branding, marketing and public relations. She also oversees and maintains the development and integrity of the CPA Ontario story through corporate messaging, issues management and crisis communications. Her prior experience includes serving as Vice-President, Business Services, and Head of Consumer Marketing at Primus Canada, and she currently serves on the education committee of the Canadian Marketing Association.
Vice-President, Member Services
Craig Smith, Vice-President, Member Services, leads the corporate functions of Member Experience and Professional Development in support of CPA Ontario’s strategy. He champions the members across the organization, bringing the member lens to business planning and cross-functional initiatives. He oversees the strategy and delivery of our member engagement initiatives, including our professional development offerings, member benefit programs, member communities, career services and associations support. Prior to joining CPA Ontario, Craig worked in senior leadership roles with large telecom and financial services organizations, including Capital One, Rogers and Bell.
